Events open to Everyone This includes events organised by the Morgan Three Wheeler Club and events we’ve been invited to. Click on an event to find out more. |
Robin’s Christmas Gathering will take place on Thursday 28th December at the Gate Inn at Brailes from 12 noon as usual. Please come and join us for a drink in Robin and Sue’s memory. Morgans or any vintage car/bike very welcome, weather permitting.
The youngest of the Motor Cycling Club’s ’Big Three’, this trial started in 1910 when the MCC broke new ground by introducing the “London to Exeter and Back Winter Club Run” on Boxing Day, when saner folk might be expected to be enjoying the warmth of the festive season with their families.
The 2018 event takes place on Saturday 6th January 2018 and a new class has been introduced in the hope that it will attract entries from competitors who wish to experience the atmosphere and challenge of an MCC long distance trial without the need to specially prepare a vehicle – and no mud!
This is a “proper” overnight event and should appeal to those club members who mourned the demise of the MTWC Night Trial.

Building on the success of last year’s Test & Taster Day, Austin Smith has organised another meet at Curborough Sprint Course. And this year, the Test & Taster Day coincides with one of the club’s Breakfast Meetings organised by Ian Parkinson. You’re welcome to come along and watch, even if you’re not taking part in the Taster Day.
-
- The sprint track action is likely to start at 10am (or maybe 9.30am) and run throughout the day.
- Garage 56 will be demonstrating their 5 Speeder upgrades and Phil Bleazey will be demonstrating his 5 Speeder drivetrain upgrades
- Along with a number of well known MTWC racers such as Chas Reynolds and Tom Cowley, a trio of 5 Speeder racers, John Scruton, Rob Pike and Austin Smith will be undertaking pre season testing and no doubt having some fun on and off the track.
- The event coincides with a monthly Breakfast meeting at Curborough, so the cafe will be open selling a tasty selection of breakfast goodies
