Events open to Everyone This includes events organised by the Morgan Three Wheeler Club and events we’ve been invited to. Click on an event to find out more. |
We normally gather for lunch at about midday (most in the pub and some with sandwiches) and then the increasingly small band of us who go wandering in the fields tend to set off about 2pm for a walk. The others either go home, hang around the pub or move on to the church, where the local ladies usually put on tea and cakes. There isn’t a specific “Run” as such, just the journey to and from Dymock.
If you want lunch at the Beauchamp Arms, the manageress asks if you could please book asap as they are already getting busy but is happy to reserve space for us if we give her some bookings. As usual, I suggest we gather on the green outside the church in time for midday and I am planning to start a ramble round the fields at about 2pm for those who would like some exercise.
If the weather is wet, please don’t use (or damage) the village green by driving on it. The field opposite should have been opened for us to park. I don’t yet have confirmation that the local ladies will be offering tea and cakes in the church after lunch but, if they don’t, the Beauchamp Arms have promised to do so instead. I hope to see you there.
To book lunch, please ring 01531 890266 (Please book for 12:00 and mention the MTWC)

Starting and finishing at The Inn on the Green.
Arrive at 10 a.m. for a 10:30 start. If you arrive earlier, bacon and sausage sandwiches will be available before the start and lunch can be booked for your return. Rooms are available at the Inn on the Green if you want to stay overnight and, last year, a couple of crews stayed there for the Saturday night and reported that the price was reasonable and the dinner and breakfast were up to the required standard I don’t know whether we will be storming the Long Mynd this year but, even if we don’t, the scenery is always worth admiring.

Valence School is a special residential and day school for children and young people aged 4 to 19 who have physical disabilities, complex medical needs together with associated learning and communication difficulties.
Valence is the only school of its kind in the UK and a Sports College. The proceeds of our Event will help upgrade our facilities so that we can offer sporting and gym facilities not only to our own students but the wider disabled community

No…. “Not The Night Trial”. This is a navigational event which is provisionally arranged to run in the evening of Saturday 22nd April 2017. That’s the day before the club’s Opening Run. The Counties involved are: Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The event will include navigation challenges and various test along the route. It will be open to all club members driving their Morgan Three Wheelers. Keep an eye on the website and The Bulletin for updates. Here’s a list of local hotels. Click on the list to download it as a PDF. |
The Herts, Beds and Bucks Group has been tasked with organising The 201 7 Opening Run
at The Milton Keynes Museum. Their website is http://www.miltonkeynesmuseum.org.uk
Just two roundabouts from the A5 and no concrete cows! There is a host of very interesting displays for all interests and age groups – from rural life, agricultural and industrial social objects, to memorabilia from Wolverton Railway Works, comprehensive historic to present day hands-on working telephone exhibits, and that is before you get to the transport section. Good parking and catering. More details about the Museum such as opening times and negotiated entrance deal will follow.
