An Update on Parking for the Spares Fair
Parking in Malvern on a Saturday can be difficult, so we have organised extra parking at Lake House, Peachfield Rd, WR14 3LE. There will be a green triangle at the gate and where to park.
There will be an 8 seater taxi to take you to the spares fair between 9.30 and 10.30. And a return taxi from The Abbey from 1.00 till 2.00. There will be a charge of £5 a head for a there-and-back journey, please be aware that if you wish to travel outside the two time slots, you will have to make alternative arrangements. (NB a taxi will be about £6-8 each way). See map below:
Booking at The Abbey
Even if you did not book before the deadline, the Abbey Hotel still have rooms available and they are happy for me to take more bookings. Please contact me, Mary Pattinson as soon as possible if you would like to book onto this great weekend. (Spaces are limited). We still have places available for the Gala Dinner, it is a great social event with delicious food. Come and join other like-minded folk for the evening.
There are still places available on the Cameron Engineering factory tours. Please let me know if you would like to book on to either.
If you wish to attend the Spares Fair but are not staying at the hotel, we have secured extra parking 2 miles away from the hotel (on Peachfield Rd, next to the Lakehouse Brewery!). We shall arrange transport to the hotel. Please let me or Steve Lister know if you are interested in parking here. Steve would appreciate some helpers for car park duty; if you can give an hour or two of your time, please contact him (Registrar, contact details in the Club Officers list, page ii). The Spares Fair
The Spares Fair will be held at the Abbey Hotel in the Elgar Suite on Saturday 22nd September from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Members will not be permitted to enter before 9:30; a security system will operate during preparation.
All Traders must apply to Gary Caroline for entrance identity badges in advance. For stand space or other related queries contact Gary on either firstname.lastname@example.org or 01 483 233927.
Please remember to bring your Membership Card which will be required for entry and purchasing.
Bring and Buy
There will be the usual Bring-and-Buy stand manned by Paul Baker and his team. Please deliver your new or used Morgan spares to the stand between 9:30 am and 11 :30 am.
It would be helpful for you to attach your name to the parts in advance. A 10% fee is levied and the proceeds are put towards the cost of hiring the Elgar Suite.
Last year Paul and his team achieved another Spares sales record. Well done and thank you.
