The first weekend of August this year saw the VSCC’s annual Speed Hill Climb at the wonderful Cotswold venue. Following the success of the 80th Anniversary Hill Climb, the VSCC returned to the long course for a one-day event on Friday.
A number of club members were competing over the weekend but only two of them were in Morgan Three Wheelers.
Sue Darbyshire used her Super Aero road car in the long course event on Friday and the racing Super Aero for the rest of the weekend. Iain Stewart drove his dark green JAP Super Aero all weekend.
Three Morgan derivatives were also out on the hill. Club Registrar Steve Lister campaigned the Freikaiserwagen, painstakingly reconstructed by Steve and Mike Sythes. Charlie Martin was in the Morgan/GN fabric bodied special and Phil Dobbin drove the the Morgan/GN Special – Salome.
