Once again, the Sporting Section’s AGM and Dinner were held at the Stone House Hotel on Saturday 25th November. The event never seems to lose its popularity and this year, Becky Washington and Julia Perry took over the organisation from Lesley Reynolds who’s done a great job over the last few years.
Sue Clews presided over the high-speed raffle which was so over-subscribed that they ran out of tickets!
A few words from our new CompSec, Tony Pearson:
The end of the formal racing season was brought to a close this last weekend with the Sporting AGM and dinner dance.
The AGM was well attended and had a good feel to it with lots of support for the new Comp Sec, (Me!)
The afternoon soon rolled into the evening, with a good meal, excellent entertainment and even better company, all seemed to have a great time. (As some of the hangovers in the morning confirmed!!)
Please accept my deepest thanks to the team who have picked up assisting roles, Becky and Julia for sorting the dinner and most importantly, YOU! Because without you wonderful people, the weekends spent racing wouldn’t be so enjoyable.
