A dozen or so Morgans ventured out on what promised to be a cool, possibly damp Sunday 8th April. Luckily, the weather turned out to be dry and approaching warm.
Group Organiser Bob Barlow organised a breakfast meet-up at the Treetops Nursery Café, followed by a meandering run to The Boars Head in Poynton where two more Morgans met the rest of the group for lunch. Unfortunately, James Gill had grumbling gremlins in the clutch area and left for home on a recovery truck.
Refreshments were taken and then the assembled throng descended on the Anson Engine Museum. Lots of engines of all types and sizes are on display, many of them in full working order. A very enthusiastic group of volunteers run the site, fettle and maintain the engines and give guided tours of the site.
Following the tours, a few members partook of more food; tea and cake, before setting off for home.
