Abbey Hotel, Great Malvern
27th – 29th September
Well…. the weekend’s been and gone. Another successful weekend made all the more pleasurable by the lovely weather. Many thanks are due to Richard Atherton for his organisation of the weekend and the many club officers and helpers who made the Spares Fair run like clockwork.
There will be a full write-up in The Bulletin but here are a few essentials:
We have a new Club Chairman and a new Club Secretary. Brian Clutterbuck and Dennis Plater both retired at this year’s AGM. Our new club Chairman is Michael Joseph and the new club Secretary is Chris Harfield.
Brian and Dennis were warmly thanked for their tremendous efforts on behalf of the club over many years and we all look forward to their help and support in the coming years. Best wishes too to Michael and Chris for the future.
Our Treasurer, John Scruton announced the Club’s finances were healthy and the meeting agreed that there will be no increase in membership fees in the coming year.
Mogspares sales at the Spares Fair were just short of £8,000.00 and Rose Hoar’s Grand Raffle raised no less than £450.00!
Sam Savage donated the proceeds from his sale of spanners. This raised £45.00 for the Club. Most of the money appears to have been spent by Ted French who was on the the look-out for additional chassis strengthening materials.
David Browne had a good day too, raising more Club funds on the Used Parts table.
