VSCC Loton Park - 27th/28th May

VSCC Loton Park. 27th & 28th May 2017

In a change from recent years, the VSCC visited the ever popular Loton Park event over May Bank Holiday weekend. Set within the confines of the estate’s picturesque deer park, the 1475 yards course is a great challenge for car and machine.

From Steve Uprichard – until some better words turn up!

Six club members entered this event, run over two days of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Four Morgan three wheelers were entered in three classes:

  • Paul Tunnicliffe entered his 1934 MX2 powered Super Sports in Class 2, “Standard and Modified Sports Cars 751-1100cc Unsupercharged and up to 750cc Supercharged”.
  • Pete Enticknap entered his Super Aero and Angus Frost drove Justin Maeers Super Aero in Class 13, “Pre 1941 Racing Cars up to 1100cc”.
  • Sue Darbyshire was in Class 14, “Pre 1941 Racing Cars 1101-1500cc”.

Ben and Hannah Enticknap were also racing; Ben in the family GN Special and Hannah in a shared drive of the J.A.P. powered RIP Special.

Conditions were dry throughout the event, although rather cool on the Saturday evening – Hog Roast time.
