MTWC Sprint at Curborough. Dedicated to our Comp. Sec. Pete Clews.
The Morgan Three Wheeler Club’s sprint at Curborough has become a firm fixture in the club’s events calendar and is the only opportunity for non-regular racing members to ‘have a go’ alongside the racers.
This year’s event is dedicated to Pete Clews, our Competition Secretary, who made such a big impression on us all in such a relatively small period of time. He will be greatly missed.
A few words from the Event Programme by Sue Darbyshire:
“Welcome to the Morgan Three Wheeler Club’s sprint at Curborough. It has become a firm fixture in the club’s events calendar and is the only opportunity for non-regular racing members to ‘have a go’ alongside the racers. We try to make it as low key and casual as we can within the rules and regulations of a competition and from my eyrie in the office I see a great deal of competitive instinct kicking in throughout the day in all classes.
This year’s event is dedicated to Pete Clews, our Competition Secretary, who made such a big impression on us all in such a relatively small period of time. He will be greatly missed. I asked Sue if we should have a two minute silence for Pete at the start of the day and she said no, he would be happier if we just got on with it, so that is exactly what we shall do and we’ll hope that the sun shines and that Pete is watching us and enjoying it.”
