A welcome return for the VSCC to this famous Pre-war circuit for the first time since 2011 saw two Morgan Three Wheeler Club members racing against stiff opposition.
Duncan Woods came a creditable 3rd in Race 5, The Boulogne Trophy Race for Vintage Racning Cars. Sue was just three places, and a quarter of a minute, behind Duncan.

From Sue Darbyshire:
Practice – torrential rain and more torrential rain – I qualified on pole with Duncan in second place.
The Race – unfortunately – dried out. Duncan drove a blinder to finish third. My engine was flat right from the go and turned into a mega misfire which was the left hand mag bolts broken. By the end of the race the mag was lying flat on the mag platform! The race was a very fierce affair as illustrated by the round swirls down the side of my car where someone’s wheel spinner carved through my paintwork (see last photo in the gallery).
Duncan also ran a Mk 4 Cooper for the first time but had a few teething problems and did not start the race….but look out for him again as no doubt he will get it sorted and be back.
