North West Group Buttermere Weekend. June 22nd – 24th 2018

Once again, the peace and tranquility of the English Lake District was interrupted by the wonderful sounds of V-Twin engines as the North West Group Buttermere Camping Weekend got under way on 22nd June.

The weather was glorious all weekend and not a drop of rain!

Brian Clutterbuck – Funeral Arrangements

Sad news about our ex club Chairman Brian Clutterbuck.

27th June 2018

After almost 6 months in Hereford Hospital being treated for a sudden attack of pancreatitis and pneumonia Brian had lost a lot of weight and become very weak. More problems arose on Tuesday which he was not strong enough to fight and he passed away peacefully in his sleep early on Wednesday morning 20 June with family at his bedside.

He had been driving one of his Morgans just 3 days before the emergency admission to hospital back in December.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:

The funeral service at will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Bosbury HR8 1QT on Friday 6th July at 2.00pm

The funeral will be followed by a celebration of his life at the Morgan Motor Company Visitors Centre, Spring Lane, Malvern WR14 1AJ.

A note from Liz and Elizabeth:

Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Brian for Monnow Ward Nurses Fund or Bosbury Church Restoration Fund may be sent to Emma Bouston Funeral Services, 50 High Street, Bromyard, Herefordshire HR7 4AE

Even though Dad wasn’t religious he was involved in the church choir for a time and was interested in the building and its history. The funeral service in church will have a traditional structure but we hope to celebrate ‘The Life of Brian’ afterwards at the Morgan Factory, he did seem to spend quite a lot of time there. We’re not quite sure of the format but we’ve received lots of emails and photos with stories about Dad and photos which we hope to put together. If anyone would like to speak or has suggestions let us know. Dad will spend the night at the chapel of rest which is 4 miles from home and we will have a private cremation on the Saturday.

Someone asked about a dress code and we would say come as you’re comfortable. It’s a strange request to ask but if you are able to come please can you let us know. (Email contact  [email protected] )

We would hate not to have enough orders of service or cake!
