Touring Group End of Season Bash.

Touring Group End of Season Bash.

22nd to 25th October. Touring Group End of Season Bash.
Will be held at The Abbey Hotel, Malvern.
We have negotiated an excellent package with the hotel who are keen to host the group. The hotel has an excellent private car park, we have been given free use of the function rooms and local leisure facility and the Head Chef has come up with an exciting culinary menu.
You will arrive at the hotel on the Friday afternoon and settle into the comfortable Abbey atmosphere.
The town centre is but a few steps away from the hotel for you to explore.
Friday night dinner will be taken in the conservatory suite..
Saturday morning we plan to visit Morgan Motor Co as special guests, tour the Visitor Centre and factory tour of course and much more.
There will also be a Concours D’Elegance, so make sure your M3W is pristine and shiny.
Saturday afternoon there will be a good run out with a visit to a local company
Saturday evening dinner will be held at Anupam Indian Restaurant just around the corner from The Abbey.( this is payable separately)
Should Indian not be to your choice there are other options.
Sunday morning after a leisurely breakfast it’s time to head for the hills on a superb MOG Route, with a coffee stop at Shobden Airfield ( scene of the second G&G) then on to the Elan Valley, a super twisty route which is an ideal M3W drive. Lunch at the Elan Valley Visitor Centre before another cross country route back to Malvern.
All run outs will be provided beforehand via a TOMTOM GPX File, so you can travel at your own pace and still keep in touch with the group.
Sunday Evenings Gala Four Course Dinner ( casual dress only) will be held in a private suite with hopefully some light entertainment from some of our musical members.
Monday morning, and after breakfast head for home, or stay on if you wish.
To book, or enquire about this event the first thing to do is,
1/ Contact Maria Parkinson either by phone to 01823 277852 or e-mail her at  [email protected]
All Mogs will need to be allocated a number by her first then she will tell you how to book the package.
There will be NO deposits to pay until one month before the event.
Non Mog owners are most welcome to join us.
We look forward to meeting you all at this event.

News About This Years AGM

The 2021 MTWC AGM & Rally Weekend

17th-19th September 2021

Well, it looks as though the Covid shackles are slowly loosening.  At the beginning of March I sent an email to all those who attended the 2019 AGM and Rally to gauge the enthusiasm to attend this year’s event at Leamington Spa in September.  I am delighted to report that there was an overwhelming appetite to get back to some sort of normality.  Many members have already been vaccinated and it looks like we will all have been fully vaccinated by the summer.

So, the plan is to wait until the Covid Lockdown has progressed a bit more through April and then to include the AGM and Rally Booking Form with the May Bulletin and on the MTWC website.  Watch this space!

If for some reason the Covid situation regresses and we did have to cancel the AGM, rest assured that all bookings will be fully refundable!

Here are the provisional details.

The venue is Woodland Grange, 2.3 miles from the centre of Royal Leamington Spa.  See https://www.woodlandgrange.com/gallery/

The dates are 17th-19th September 2021.

Friday afternoon:  Scenic runs for those early arrivals who fancy a spin.  Or just relax and settle in with a free coffee/tea and some snacks

Friday evening:  Informal, unless we can think of something!  There will be an optional 2 course fork supper for those who want it.  And probably a silent bar quiz.

Saturday Morning.  The Spares Fair as usual.

Saturday Afternoon:  The Grand Rally in the grounds of Woodland Grange, displaying all the Morgan 3Ws attending and the Concours judging.  As in 2019, we are planning other activities such as wine tasting, apiculture, Morris/Morgan dancing etc…

Saturday Evening:  The Rally Dinner, including the Award of Prizes (part 1), a Mystery After Dinner Speaker and musical entertainment.

Sunday morning:  The AGM and the Award of Prizes (part 2).

Sunday afternoon:  Further opportunities for some scenic runs and other side events for those staying through till Monday morning.

Bookings:  Details of Costs and a Booking Form will appear in the May issue of the Bulletin.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it to Royal Leamington Spa over the weekend of 17th-19th September!
