Missing from your November Bulletin

All Club Members will have received their Renewal Forms as part of the address slip with their November Bulletin.         There should also have been a separate enclosure – a Personal Data Protection Declaration. Unfortunately, the printers forgot to include this form as an enclosure.  We’d be grateful if […]

Brian Fell

We were sorry to hear that Brian Fell of Great Shefford near Cambridge died very recently. He was a very long time member who had several Morgans. The funeral will take place on Monday 11th February at 11.30 am at Cambridge City Crematorium.

The youngest Club member??

Congratulations to Joe and Chloe Kirk (nee Pilbeam) on the birth of their first child Arthur who will, on reaching manhood, become instantly famous for being able to pull centrepins out of large stones and Morgan chassis where all had failed before.

Chloe on being reminded that she hadn’t paid her subs made the lame excuse that she had been preoccupied but said she would deal with it and include Arthur on the form – hence the title to this post.

Congratulations also to Chas Pilbeam and Ros on becoming grandparents.

Oh, and can anyone say whether Arthur may legally travel in the rear seat of Tinkabel (their F4) when he would otherwise have to have a child seat in a modern car?

Ian Naisby

We were sorry to hear that long term member Ian Naisby has passed away. Ian has been very poorly for a long time, he will be greatly missed. Ian’s involvement with Morgans went right back to the 1950s and he and Marian took part in many Club Trips.

My abiding memory of Ian was in 2014 when he was far from well, determining to travel in his Morgan to the Isle of Man with the rest of us. He was sat in the paddock surrounded by the Morgans, with an ice cream in his hand and a beaming smile on his face, as much as to say,’ There I made it’. He had a great spirit.

Our thoughts are with Marian and the family at this time.

Trevor and Bob

The funeral will be at 2.00pm Monday 4th February. Springwood Crematorium, Rosemary Chapel, Springwood Avenue, Liverpool L25 7UN

Reception afterwards at Christ the King Club, Score Lane, Liverpool L16 6AW.

Ian’s son Angus has requested No Flowers but it was Ian’s wish that donations be made to support Prostrate Cancer UK .

To help with catering numbers it would be helpful if members could let Angus (Ian’s son) know they are coming. His email address is angus.naisby@hotmail.co.uk
