Sculpture Run Poster 8 9 19

Like the best books, a Morgan run needs a good beginning, an interesting middle and a great ending. Our Sculpture Run to the Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Wisley on Sunday 8th September will be just that. The start is from Shere, the picturesque and quintessential English village in Surrey. The William Bray pub is close to the crystal-clear river Tillingbourne famous for its watercress beds and trout stream. The scenic run with some wonderful views, is about 12 miles on quiet lanes used for the Olympic cycle road race in 2012. At the gardens, in addition to the wonderful summer borders and stunning glasshouse you can see sculpture by Henry Moore, Tracey Emin and none other than our former Chairman Michael Joseph. For a sneaky preview see www.mjartist.com You might even find a Morgan or two in there.

AGM publicity photo 1

The 2019 AGM will take place at the Woodland Grange Hotel, Leamington Spa at 10.30am, 29th September.  https://www.woodlandgrange.com/

Get there early, find a seat and watch some Morgan Videos from 10am!

The 2019 MTWC AGM & Rally Weekend is nearly upon us.  Over 100 are booked in for the Dinner on Saturday evening.  If you haven’t yet booked, there is still time to do so – but only if you are very quick!  You can download a booking form by clicking here.  Numbers will be finalised with Woodland Grange in the first week of September.  The Dinner is £32pp, but there is no need to pay for accommodation until you check out.

The Spares Fair will take place on Saturday 28th, 9.30am-1.30pm.  Sellers should contact Gary Caroline ([email protected]).  The Bring and Buy stand will be manned by Paul Baker.  Bring your spares between 9.30am and 11.30am with your name attached to all parts of the items.  A 10% fee will levied on sales to help offset room hire costs.

The programme is as follows:

Friday evening:  Informal + silent pub quiz

Saturday Morning:  The Spares Fair.  Stallholders/sellers please contact Gary Caroline ([email protected]).  Scenic runs.

Saturday Afternoon:  Display of Morgan 3Ws and the Concours judging; Wine Tasting; Apiculture; or do as wish in and around Leamington Spa.

Saturday Evening:  Three course Rally Dinner, French café style jazz, Concours awards, chatting with friends and – the mystery after speaker…

Sunday morning:  Morgan Videos at 10am and the AGM at 10.30am and the Award of Prizes (part 2).

BREAKING NEWS…  Leamington Spa to replace Silverstone on the Sporting Calendar for the 2019 MTWC Grand Prix/Rally/AGM!

Listen carefully!  Can you hear the throb of V Twins at high revs, and scent the unique aroma of Castrol D in your nostrils?  It’s going to be a great event.  The cars are now out of the pit lane; they’ve finished the parade lap and are now lining up on the grid.  There are some new entrants for this exciting 2019 event at Spa as well as some old hands.  And, yes, YOU can join them!

We’re going straight over to the commentary box to join Murray Walker.  Murray, what’s happening?

“You join me with 3 of the red starting lights lit, but there are some drivers yet to join the grid!  It’s not too late to enter.  But it soon will be!  Cars are still coming out of the pit lane!  Anything can happen at Morgrand (sic) Prix Rallies, and it usually does”One light, two lights, three lights, four lights, five lights and it’s GO, GO, GO, GO!…  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0TZ_YLQSgg

And with that, it’s back to the studio”!

Thanks, Murray!

AGM 2019 3

The Rally organisers are looking forward to a large entry of “teams and cars” at the Spa in Leamington, and bringing with them an interesting collection of Morgans!  Where’s yours?!  Parking won’t be a problem.  There’s plenty of room for trikes, tin tops and trailers.”

If you haven’t booked yet – DO IT NOW – please send your Booking Form for the Rally and AGM, along with your cheque for the Dinner (£32pp).  No need to pay for accommodation until you check out.
