Auto 66 Cadwell Park Sidecar Bash 28th-29th October 2017
This was the fourth running of the Auto 66 Road Racing Club’s immensely popular Sidecar Bash Bonanza at Cadwell Park, with two full days on the circuit moulded into the Lincolnshire Wolds’ natural topography.
Bill Tuer and Hamish Bibby were in racing Morgans, up against stiff opposition from more modern outfits.

Just two Morgans were competing at this meeting; probably the last circuit race of the season.
Bill Tuer and Maggie Tuer were joined by Hamish Bibby and Mia Simons-Weston in Greg Bibby’s green 8/80 racer. They were up against pretty stiff opposition with plenty of fast outfits to race against.
Saturday saw practice and three races for Bill and Hamish. They managed to finish mid-field or better in each race.
Sunday has three races scheduled. All went well in the first event, Race 6. Bill very nearly missed the call for Race 10 and just managed to tag on at the tail end before the flag dropped. Hamish never made it to the grid. Time dragged on and there were delays which meant that the final race was cancelled because of poor light.
