Back in 1965, club member Bob Courtney bought a special F-Type. It had a non-standard lightweight aluminium body and no weather equipment. It was originally an F4 but had been heavily modified for racing. Bob ran it for a couple of years, tuning the engine, fitting a windscreen, a Brooklands exhaust and painting the bodywork. Australia beckoned and Bob sold the car to Derek Croll in 1967 before saying goodbye to English weather.

Almost 50 years passed and the Morgan lay dormant. Derek’s son Christian came to the rescue and commissioned Ed Butcher to restore the car. It’s been restored to 1967 spec. rather than “as original” and the workmanship is outstanding.

Club members can read more about the history and the rebuild in The Bulletin but you can see the story of the rebuild on the EAB Classic Website.
