Bill Higginson – Funeral Arrangements

BILL HIGGINSON 2 crop

We heard the tragic news that club member Bill Higginson died early on Friday 26th April.

Bill was attending the club’s Opening Run in Bridgnorth on 14th April and took fellow club member John Barker out in the works 5 Speeder M3W demonstrator. They were travelling along the A442 when the car left the road and hit a tree. Both occupants were taken to hospital.

John Barker was badly hurt but has now been discharged from hospital. Bill’s injuries were very severe and he was in an induced coma for some time. Unfortunately, Bill lost the battle and died of his injuries.

This is a terrible loss for Bill’s family, the club and the Morgan Motor Company, where Bill worked as a tour guide.

Our thoughts are with Gillian and the family.

Note: We have recently received a Request for Information from West Mercia Police who would like to talk to anyone who spoke to Bill or saw the works M3W at the Opening Run. Click here for details.

Police Request for Information

We have received a request from West Mercia Police for help in providing information. Here is an extract from the email sent to our chairman:

I am the Officer in the Case (OIC) for a road traffic collision that involved a member of your club Mr William (Bill) HIGGINSON. I am aware that most people know that unfortunately Bill has passed away as a result of the collision,

As far as early investigations are concerned I am looking into the car, road surface, weather conditions etc… and also trying to speak to as many people as possible who may be able to help me.

Please could you put on the website of the three wheeler club a request for people to contact me that were at the meet and saw and spoke to Bill and/or saw the silver ‘5 speeder’ at the front of the Station car park area of the Severn Valley Railway location at Bridgnorth.

Kind Regards
