Activities of the ClubPublicationsThe club has a monthly illustrated magazine, The
Bulletin that covers social events, racing news, gossip about members
and their activities and technical and historical information. There are
'Wanted' and 'For Sale' sections, a 'Letters to the Editor' page, and
a wealth of sporting and technical matters relating to the use, maintenance
and preservation of Morgans. Back issues of this magazine from 1944 to
2000 are now available to members on CD-ROM from Regalia and are a useful
source of older technical information as well as being an insight into
many years of history. Events The Club as a whole organizes annual social meetings such as an Opening
Run at the beginning of the season, and an Annual General Meeting in the
autumn, held at Malvern. Regional Groups throughout the world elect Group
Organisers (GO's) to arrange their own programme of events. The club is
affiliated to the Auto
Cycle Union (ACU), the controlling body for motorcycle sport , which
is the category into which all Morgans come for sporting purposes. A Competition
Secretary organizes entries into race, sprint and hillclimb meetings,
where members compete against other vintage three-wheelers or motorcycle
& sidecar combinations. Occasionally we compete against vintage four
wheelers, and we run our own 'closed to club' events. Technical AdvisorsWithin the Club there are technical advisers covering two-speeders and three-speeders with 'v' twin engines, and F-types. Each one is an expert in his field and can advise on technical aspects, history and catalogue specifications.
Spare PartsWe operate a spares section, known as Mogspares, and in the Mogspares Handbook are listed not only regular spares but also scarce and normally unobtainable components that have been specially manufactured for the Club. The Mogspares Handbook is issued to new members and is periodically updated. Notices of updating are published in the Bulletin and an updated version converted to Portable Document Format (pdf) is also available on this site. RegistryRecords of the various models, their years of manufacture and other data useful to members seeking historical/period data are maintained by the Registry, which is constantly collecting information from members and other sources.
